Suddenly on January 11th, 2026, after a brief illness, Karen Carlson passed away peacefully at the age of 65 years.

Karen was born March 8, 1960 in Sollingen, Germany to her parents, Edwin (Swede) Carlson, and mother Melrose Carlson, and was the fourth of seven children. She endured childhood diabetes for many years, facing the numerous challenges that accompanied the condition.

Karen enjoyed a peaceful life on her own, cherishing her cat, Bucky. Over the past few months, she has deeply missed his companionship.

Left to cherish her memory are sisters; Arlene, Carol (Paul) Rand, Judy, Charene and brother
Don (LouAnn). Her nieces and nephews; Devin Rand (Aimee), Andrew Read, Elizabeth Carlson, Kevin and Brian Carlson, Marvin Dyck, Shane and Brendan Unrau, Olivia and Liam Rand, Lucy and Molly Furneaux.  Also her close friends Ray Bruneau, and Shirley Darichuk.

Karen was predeceased by her father Edwin, mother Melrose, and eldest brother Allen.  Family has chosen to celebrate her life privately.
