IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brent
Caister
June 5, 1962 – December 24, 2025
With profound sadness his sisters; Lesley (Ian) Smith and Shelley (Guy) Hebert, announce the sudden passing of their beloved brother Albert "Brent" Caister on December 24th, 2025. Very special uncle to Amanda (Josh) and Riley (Melissa), son of the late Albert and Marian Caister.
Brent was born June 5th, 1962 in Portage la Prairie and remained there all his life. He was the youngest and the only boy in our family, so of course he was a "little" spoiled. He was also "hell on wheels", whether on a tricycle, bicycle, snowmobile, motorcycle, truck and lastly his scooter ... it was fast forward all the time.
Things got exciting when Brent became Uncle Brent. From the secret lunches at McDonald's with Riley, to driving lessons in his new truck with Amanda (that poor parking meter never had a chance). He embraced all of it.
The family celebrations that Brent loved so much were always more special surrounded with grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and always great food.
He had a large and diverse circle of friends in his lifetime. From his school days, to work and even those he made in the last few years at Regency, made him the social guy, he was with no judgement of others.
Brent was always a happy person with a good sense of humor. Whether you saw him flying by on his scooter to join his buddies for coffee at Tim's or back in the day, cruising around in one of his many trucks, he always had a smile and a wave.
Brent loved music. Whether it was Johnny Cash, Stompin' Tom, Elvis or AC/DC to him, good music had no boundaries.
He was also an avid sports fan. He played hockey, golf, baseball and obtained his black belt in Jiu Jitsu. But his favourite games to watch included his beloved Boston Bruins and the Portage Terriers.
He will be missed but always remembered in our hearts. The memories will come with laughter and tears. Rest easy Brent, fly high and fast.
Brent’s family will celebrate his life privately. Donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
